Privacy Policy
Jury Finance is a non-custodial arbitration protocol. The smart contracts do not collect personal data. This policy describes the limited data the marketing site and any optional auxiliary services may process.
This document is a non-binding draft provided for transparency. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before being relied upon.
1. Introduction
Jury Finance ("Jury Finance," "the protocol," "we," "us") is a set of open-source smart contracts for decentralized, on-chain arbitration and dispute resolution. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data, if any, is processed when you visit jury.finance or interact with the protocol's contracts via your wallet.
2. Data we do not collect
The protocol's smart contracts do not collect names, email addresses, government IDs, phone numbers, or any other personally identifying information. Jury Finance does not run KYC/AML on protocol users. We have no user accounts, no passwords, no centrally stored balances, and no ability to freeze or seize funds held by the contracts.
3. On-chain data is public
Any transaction you submit to the protocol is recorded on a public blockchain. This includes wallet addresses, escrow amounts, juror selections, votes (after reveal), and dispute outcomes. We do not control, encrypt, or remove this data. You should treat all on-chain activity as permanent and globally readable.
4. Marketing site (jury.finance)
The marketing site is a static site. We do not set advertising cookies or sell visitor data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamp) may be retained for a limited period by the hosting provider for reliability and abuse prevention. We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics that do not use cross-site identifiers.
5. Wallets and third-party services
To interact with the protocol you connect a self-custodial wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Rabby, a hardware wallet). Those wallets, the RPC provider you choose, the blockchain itself, and any block explorer you use are independent third parties governed by their own privacy terms. We do not receive your private keys and cannot execute transactions on your behalf.
6. Cookies
The site uses only strictly necessary, first-party storage (e.g., a theme preference in localStorage) plus first-party analytics. No third-party tracking cookies are set by us.
7. Children
Jury Finance is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. The protocol's permissionless nature means we cannot verify age; users should not interact with the protocol if they are below the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
8. Your rights
To the extent any applicable law (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) gives you rights of access, deletion, rectification, portability, or objection regarding any limited personal data we hold off-chain (such as a support email you sent us), you may contact us at the address below. We cannot alter or delete on-chain data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the protocol or applicable law evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
